Job summary

As a Housekeeping Manager, you manage the employees who are responsible for preparing rooms and public areas. You are also responsible for planning and arranging the workschedule of the employees.

 

Main areas of tasks and responsibilities:

  • Determining the most adequate staffing levels and ensuring the correct work layout
  • Ensuring timely, correct and complete recording of information
  • Monitoring progress and quality of implementation and monitoring the quality of cleaning and services
  • Identifying technical defects and reporting them and ensuring that they are resolved
  • Checking presentation, order, cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with guidelines, standards and procedures
  • Monitoring regular and correct inventory, guest items and cleaning products – and reordering these items if necessary
  • Promoting the company goals, mission statement and the four core values 

Your qualifications:

  • You have an HBO working and thinking level with at least an HBO or university education in Hotel Management
  • You have at least 3 years of professional knowledge and work experience in Rooms Division departments
  • You have good conceptual and analytical skills
  • You stay up to date with national and international developments within the hospitality sector
  • You have leadership capabilities
  • You have problem-solving skills
  • You have a representative appearance and are approachable
  • You have experience in planning and organizing and have an eye for detail
  • You are guest-oriented and have a service-oriented attitude
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English
  • You have strong skills in MS-Office package and have the ability to quickly learn other computer software programs
