From August, 24 till August, 30 Caribbean’s most popular
festival of arts and culture Carifesta VIII took place in
Suriname. CARICOM appointed Suriname to be the host country.
To show and share the cultural richness of Suriname and the
rest of the Caribbean, the activities were held at various
locations in the main city as well as in the villages and
the interior of Suriname.
