The world famous DJ Jean is in Suriname and has given a spectacular performance on May 28th in the Anthony Nesty Sport Hall (NIS) organized by Ping Promotions and IMB Productions. The after party will take place at the Pier of Hotel Torarica on Wednesday, May 31 starting at 20.00 hrs.

Since June 1st 2005 has Torarica been working on the implementation of the HACCP system. The procedures and preperations for Torarica’s certification are in full effect. Internal (personell) and external (suppliers) presentations and workshops have taken place.

May is the beginning of the rainy season in Suriname but government forecaster Cor Becker said the amount of rainfall measured in Suriname during the past week was extremely rare. About 175 villages close to the Suriname and Marowijne rivers in southeastern and central Suriname are worst affected due to floods.
